Wow, sorry for the lack of posts. I figured I'd have all the time in the world to post since I had a four month summer break. Time flies when you're having fun I guess.... or just incredibly busy at work.
Anyway, I just got back from a family reunion in Missouri. It was a ton of fun. Although California will always be home, Missouri is still a cool place to visit. haha.
Moving on.....
My parents and I have always been big fans of Volks Wagen. Growing up, I was chauffeured around in a VW Jetta. Now my mom drives a Passat...my dad, a Golf TDI...and as for me, I putt around in a New Beetle TDI. All of our cars age between 5-8 years and for some reason they are all DYING! A couple weeks ago the alternator in my car broke leaving me completely stranded on the side of highway 99 between Fresno and Modesto. My moms blinkers don't work, and the little computer screen above the steering wheel constantly flashes the words: STOP! (kinda scary). As for my dads car, which was seen as the safest, most reliable.... well... its just funked up. We drove it to Denver this past week and it gave us so much trouble. We would be driving 75mph on the highway and then it would jerk and decelerate. Not good.
My and my dad's car have been fixed but seems like my mom's is hopeless. So we're looking for a new Passat!
While passing through Nevada we stopped at Boomtown (or something like that... ) and saw this sweet ride:
My mom was thinking about a black Passat but now Im trying to convince her into a red one. She doesnt want red (at the moment) cuz she's scared it will attract police (and she tends to speed).
I'm slowly turning her to the dark side....hopefully in a few months I'll be borrowing a hot red Passat during my weekends home. hehehe.
Moving on... I got a package from Buenos Aires, Argentina today! I purchased something online a few weeks ago and it came while we were on vacation.
I think I might cut the stamped part out and keep it... Ive never gotten anything from Argentina in the mail before!
I opened it up and found this...
Im a big fan of cool packaging....
and I love love LOVE the fabric it came in.
Anyway, here it is: hand shaped silver customized to say "Be Strong"...Words I live by. I really like it. :)
A couple weeks ago, my work had a company picnic and I won my FIRST bottle of wine!
Its a white wine.... haven't had any yet.... I guess Im saving it for something special.
And finally, I found this mysterious puddle of water on the counter earlier today. Looked cool so I took a picture of it.
Cheers!

long time, no see....
man.... its been a while, eh?
yea.... i've been a pretty busy girl despite my "loner" tendencies. I've been back in the states for about two months now. Actually, its exactly two months tomorrow (happy anniversary to me!).
On to the updates:
I got a job with at my dad's work. Basically what happened was, I kept putting off the job search until my dad finally came to me and said, "Want a drafting job at Nova?" (thats where he works)
"Ok..." I said and the rest is history.
My title is "Engineering Intern" which is hilarious because I don't know ANYTHING about engineering. Basically what I do all day long is detail and draft odds and ends of different jobs the company has going on. So far I've "designed" handrails, hose racks, hose valve supports, and emergency fuel stop sign, grating for a pit, and some other things that I can't remember right now.
I guess its a pretty sweet gig. I get to make hella bank working 40 hours a week, I get off work by 5 and weekends off. Everyone is really nice but I gotta say, working 40 hours a week is hard. I've worked full time for the past two summers but in retail jobs. I guess I just don't like sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours a day... I dont know how I'm going to survive a career job once I graduate college.
Thats all for now...cuz thats all I've got going on in my life at the moment. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm excited for summer to be over.... I miss Fresno. (Whoa, never thought I'd say that either)
anyway, peace out and I'll try blogging more.

Yo!
What can I say?
I love blogging and this site is just so easy to use so I'm going to continue sharing my random adventures with all of you people.
For my first entry, I would like to share my little Saturday morning adventure (and I'm not joking when I say Saturday morning!).
This is my mom. She used to model when she was younger. Anyway, you can't see it, but the clock on the stove behind her says 4:21... as in 4:21 AM!
How does my mom look so good at 4:21 in the morning???
The reason we were up so early was because my grandma had a 7am flight to Denver and we live about an hour away from the airport.
oy.
4:33am was when we walked out the door.
Before we hit the road, we stopped at the gas station to get some morning refreshments.
I wanted a vitamin water cuz I really like their guava flavor...but I couldn't find it. I settled for Snapple's antioxidant water..Orange Starfruit flavor. It did not suck!
It took the entire Mars cd of the Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium album to get there... it was weird...
Anyway, it was still dark when we got to the Oakland airport.
My mom and grandma... aw.
The airport has been doing construction since I was a senior in high school... I like what they've done with the place.
We checked for my g-ma's flight...
...and then sat at this little diner thing they had with old fashioned diner tables.
Me and my Bubba. Obviously, I'm not a morning person.... haha.
and then I said, "DADDY! Pretend I'm taking a picture of you so that I can get a picture of security!"
Oh, my parents are goofy.
After that, I spied on the airport personnel.
I tested the macro zoom on my dad's new camera. That lip gloss is the best stuff ever! and I got it on sale which makes it even better. ;)
Finally, it was time for Grandma to leave us. We hugged and kissed and watched as she went through security....
By the time we got back to our car, the sun had started to rise.
On the way home, we decided to take a detour and go through San Francisco.
It was fun times driving through the city without getting stuck in traffic. I think at this time it was only 7:30....
So I guess that is all for my Saturday morning!
cya guys around!
